One of those days.... my piggy bank is busted. :(

I am so mad right now. My little bit of money I was saving for crafting supplies, now how to go to the garage... I was bringing my little boy to school, and the van just didn't "feel" right, just as I was pulling up to drop him off the wheel went really funny. So when I let him out I got out myself and went around the van, only to discover I had a completely flat tire!!!
There was no way I was getting the spare tire out and on myself. So I called the BF at home and asked what do I do. He can't help (because of his surgery). So he told me to call the garage and see if they could come and pump up the tire enough to get me to the garage. So that is what I did, they put a plug in the tire, (which should hold until the winter tires need to come off)
So now we have another bill with them up there, the plug cost 5.00$ and I have no idea what the charge for coming and pumping up the tire is going to be.
So since the short term disability still hasn't started for my BF, it means the little bit of money I have  saved for crafty stuff, now has to go to the garage.
I am so not a happy woman today. Grrrr.

Digi Stamp storage...

This is my "old" box for my digi stamps, it's a toffee chocolate's box I just covered it and added some papers. :)

This is going to be my new one, it's bigger, I got this package in the mail the other week and of course I kept the box.

I covered it in normal printer paper, and used some blue card stock to cover the sides, and I used my i-rock and added a little bling to the top, I am not finished it yet.
I color digi's all the time, so then I have them ready if I need to make a quick card. Does anyone else color extra digi's to have on hand?? And if so how do you store them??

Hope you all have a great weekend.

If it's not broke don't try and fix it.

Oh lordy, I have made a big mess of my blog. I tried adding a nice background, and now have a big mess made of it, and not sure if I have enough time to fix it. Opps.
Catch you all later, if I don't mess this blog up completely. :)

All spending put on hold. :(

This sign is meant for me. And I am not too happy about it, but it has to be done. :( My BF had surgery 2 weeks ago and we are waiting for his short term disability to kick in, so while we are waiting, we can't spend money on things we don't need. I NEED crafts supplies though. But I don't think I could convince the BF to believe that one. :)
But I am going to try babysitting 2 girls for a lady I know for 4 hrs a day 5 days a week, for 18.00$ a day, I told her since I have never babysat before that I will try it for a week and see how it goes, I am so nervous, I am afraid I won't be able to handle it. But I guess we will see, at least if I can handle it, I will have some of my own spending money. :) Only down fall, I will have even less time for crafting, but I will have more of a budget to be able to buy craft supplies, and building supplies so I can get my craft room started sooner. :)
Keep your fingers crossed for me fellow crafters.

Few things I have been working on, and video of my boy...

A card I made for my bestie to welcome her little boy to the world. The base looks pink in the pic, but it's not. :)

My first try at glass etching, man it is really hard to get a picture of this, This is the sweet little boy's name. I removed the glass from a picture frame, measured where the frame was, and added his name so it would show in the frame. I think it turned out good for my first try, there will be more, I loved doing this. What do you think??
This is a guest sign in sheet for a little boy, his mom asked me if I could make it for her, after she seen the sheets from my sons past parties. I took inspiration from the invitation, and used some free colouring pages from the net, and used my cricut to cut out the frame shapes, and the happy birthday wording.

Here is a video of my son at hockey practise, these are all 4, 5, and 6 year olds. I think he has come a long way from when he first started back in Dec. When he could barely stand on skates let alone actually skate. I hope the video works.

I hope you all have a great day, and a great weekend. I think I may just try to fit a few blog hops in along the way. :) Love hopping. I just hope one day I have the nerve to actually take part in one. I am too scared to try yet. :)

Oh happy day...

Look what my BF bought for me today!!!! I am so excited. He has been trying to convince me for awhile to get a laptop, so we could get the big desktop out of our living room, and kept saying "no" because I like the mouse and the key boards on desktops. But I thought about it, and figured if I can't get use to the keyboard I can always use an external one, and I will be using an external mouse very soon. :)
I bet if we lived close to a scrapbook/hobby store I would have gotten a Cricut Imagine instead, I can only get them from online stores and the shipping is crazy. But I bet I would have a lot more craft supplies and tools if we lived closer so I could actually go in a shop and buy something, instead of ordering online.
I find it funny that he bought this for me, seeing as his birthday is coming up on the 28th of this month, mine is not till June. Now what can I buy him for his bday to equal this?? LOL
I am a happy little crafter today, at least now when I craft at my kitchen table I can still watch a movie, or listen to my music right at my finger tips.
Hope you all have a great night.

So tired....

Oh this day has been so long, and it's not even 5:00 p.m. yet!!! Well my bestie had her baby boy yesterday, and things went south, for her and the baby. She had to be admitted to the ICU, and the baby was put in the NICU. The baby was 2 weeks earlier then they thought, she was suppose to be 37 weeks, but the baby measured as 35. So the poor little guys lungs are not completely developed, and he had a few sugar and breathing issues. Both are coming around good now though.
And my BF had hernia surgery this morning, we had to get up at 5 am to make it to the hospital for 7:00 a.m. He got to recovery at 1:00 p.m. This has been a long and tiring day. He is now having a big nap, and I think I am going to go and cuddle with my son and watch a movie, and maybe catnap too. :) I am so tired I can barely keep my eyes open. I noticed a few awesome looking blog hops on the go, I hope I have enough energy later to hop along with some of them. I am just too tired to read them right now.
Catch you all later, hugs,

First card using clipart and New project

This is my first card I did using clip art, I found this Woody image from Toy Story online for free, it is actually from an online coloring page. I inked up the edges and the base of the yellow. I used foam squares to pop Woody up a bit. What do you think??

This is a door hanger someone asked me to do, would you believe this is from a Lucky Charms cereal box? I cut the box to the size I wanted, sorry I don't have measurements, I just eye balled it. I covered it with some pretty patterned paper that I won. Then took yellow card stock and did the top and bottom...

I then added the words "do not enter" ( as was requested) and added some handmade roses (which I made) and some i-rock bling across the top and bottom and added some stars and bling in the corner. What do you think? Did I do a good job?? This is the first door hanger/ project other the LO's or cards I have done.
Please leave me some comments and let me know what you think.

New twist on an old technique

Ok this is hard to see in the pictures, but I colored some free digital stamps I found online, and I always noticed other card makers/scrapbookers using this "edging" technique. Well I only own one black stamp pad, so I was thinking how can I do this "edging" if I don't have any ink pads??? So I tried my crayola markers. It is very subtle, I take a coordinating color marker and ink the edges, what do you think?? I really want some alcohol inks/markers but I need to save up for them.
