Decisions, I need some help….

I need to start really thinking about what colors I want to paint my craft room walls.

My room is going to be (unfortunately) a room without a window. So I need some bright colors.

The room is going to be about 8’ by 17’. The exterior walls are all cemented and leaks fixed now, with installation put in place. So not much longer now before the inner walls are up, and I was asked what color do I want for the walls. The floors are going to be a mix of 2 colors of wooden laminate, both fairly light ( I think). This is flooring my dad has leftover, from my son’s playroom, and my uncle’s reno, Yes this is going to be a recycled floor. It is in good shape so why throw it out.

This is going to be my creative place so I want some fun and bright colors, but not too overwhelming.

So can anyone help me?? I have no idea what colors to go with, I love purples, blues, and tealish colors.

Also I have decided I am going to be doing a giveaway once the room is finished and I can find all the goodies I have bought especially for the giveaway. It is all packed away everywhere, so when I gather it all together I will be posting it.

Blogger is being really naughty....

I feel so out of the loop, after 3 days of not being able to comment or even log in to my blogger account, seems like I missed so much. Not sure if this is even going to post. My last post got eaten by blogger, will this one have the same fate? So I am not going to write much right now just in case.

Thank God it’s a long weekend…

We have a long weekend here in Canada, it’s called the May 24th, or memorial day weekend.

I have not been doing much the last week or so, just the bare basics of house cleaning, mostly I have been just sitting at my computer desk, or reading with my son. I have been feeling miserable, and headachy, can not wait to see the specialist on Thursday. Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers, it means more then you will ever know.

When I am sitting on my computer I have been fiddling around making things or coloring, here are some of the quilled flowers I have been messing around with, trying different things with them and stuff.

Here is what I made with him, I really like this little guy, I have plans to do more with him, the digi is only the little guy and the top part of the scroll I drew the rest of the scroll and wrote the you did it myself. What do you think??

I pop dotted him on with some Helmar Zap Dots. Love them.

Got some news, and now the waiting begins again...

See that picture^^^^^^^, well I am sick to death of this little gland running my life. My thyroid levels are completely messed up, and causing me all kinds of troubles, I am 75mg away from the highest dose of medication that can be given for hypothyroidism, and he (the doc) told me that my efforts for trying to control my diabetes is in vain, that no matter how good and sugar free my diet is, it will not help until I can get my thyroid under control again. I have had this disease since I was 12 years old, next month I will be 31!! I have never seen a specialist for it, was just placed on medication and told to get checked every so often.

So now I am waiting for a call with an appointment with a specialist, I am hoping this won't take much longer.

I finally have my *lady stuff* since Feb. and I tell you I am paying the price for not having it for so long, and the thyroid problem I have, causes that too. I am in so much pain today, there won't be much housework done here today. I am just making a few quilled flowers to distract me, and watching a movie on the computer.

There are a few blog hops going on right now, I want to take part and do them, but I just don't have the brain strength to do them. I am drained, and my mind is racing trying not to think of the "what ifs" and the bad *C* word, which was mentioned by the doc, that he wants to check for.

I am so messed up today, I need some good distractions.

I got a callback, but not the good kind.

Well I am trying to get myself ready to head back to the doctor, got a call yesterday that he had gotten my blood work back from Monday and wanted to see me right away. It can't be good news to want to see me right away can it? My stomach is in knots now, I am thinking it is one of 2 things, either my thyroid levels are low (which I suspect) and my sugars are high (which I also suspect). So very short post right now. I will hopefully be back with an update a little later.

Had a not so nice surprise….

I had blood work done this morning, I thought I was finished, but the lab. tech had other plans, she passed this bottle to me… last time I had to drink this was when I was pregnant. It wasn’t nice then and it’s wasn’t nice now. So I have been told not to do anything for 2 hours. So when I pick up my son for school I have to head back to the hospital for more blood work. Couldn’t they at least make this taste good???

Fringed quilled flowers

Someone seen these on my FB page ( Just search Melissa's Kards by Design on FB) And commented that she loved them ( Thanks Naomi)

So I have decided to make a post about them.

They can be a pain in the butt to get ready, but once you have them made it is all worth it.

As you can tell by the date on the pic I made these awhile ago. So I had to research google for them, because I couldn't remember where I had found them. Life gets in the way sometimes

These are just 2 cards I have made in the middle of being sick, and trying to paint the house.

This is a quick card I made for my mom for Mother's day, I colored the image with crayola markers, and wrote the sentiment in the middle with pencil, then done it over with colored pen. I did cut out the image, I should have pop dotted it, but I didn't think about that until I seen in the picture how it looked like it was done on the card in one piece. In real life you can see that it is raised a little.

Here is a quick grad card I had been asked to make. I got my inspiration from a clip art I say. This is hand drawn, colored then gone over with a black multi liner pen.

I have not been doing many crafts lately, because me and my mom have been painting.

I am having a few health issues once again, so must days I feel like crap. I am tired all day long, and I have had a headache now for about a week. Something I normally see every month (ladies you know what I am talking about) I have not seen since Feb. and NO I am not pregnant, I have taken 3 test and they all come back negative. I will be 31 next month ( June 13th to be exact) I just hope it is not early menopause. I know I need to go to the doctor again, but I am just too tired to even bother making an appointment, I know I will make one soon, but again life gets in the way, and before I know it another day has gone by.

I will end here, I doubt anyone wants to read about my problems, I just had to get them out of my system.

Painting, but not the kind I like...

Well this is what I am doing today, along with my mom's help, well ok to be honest I am the one helping her. I suck at house painting, but it needs to be done. I was going to go help my friend with cookies, but I felt guilty to leave her to do all of the painting on her own, she wouldn't mind if I left her to do it but guilt just got to me.

And blogger is being difficult, can't seem to get my follower list up, so catching up on blogs that I read is hard.

My 1st giveaway coming very soon....

I have decided to try having a giveaway!!! I have entered  a ton of giveaways, and have won a few. I have been thinking about doing this for sometime, I want to "Pay it forward" so to speak. But I really could not afford much, (like a new machine, or new Cricut Cart or anything." But I was in Walmart today (and my last few visits) and I picked up embellishments and bling along the way. So my goal will be I think a 200 follower giveaway, so it will go as such.... When I reach 200 followers, I will then do a random draw and sent my Blog Candy to whom ever's name comes up.

So before I post what the giveaway will be, can anyone give me some advice how I go about it?? I don't want to mess up and do something wrong. I probably worry too much, but that is me. :)

So any advice that you all have please share it with me. Thank you in advance, and watch this space for the upcoming giving, I will have a pic of it soon to share. :)
